Austin and Rachel met while both were working at Northside Middle School in Columbus, IN - Rachel as a Speech Language Pathologist and Austin as a U.S. History Teacher. Through some masterfully executed matchmaking by mutual friends Andrew Tucker and Autumn Bowen, they began to spend time together in the Fall of 2023 and Austin finally worked up the courage to ask Rachel on a date in December of 2023. Austin and Rachel "officially" began dating in January of 2024, and quickly became inseparable. Austin proposed in August of 2025 at Brown County State Park, one of the couple's favorite locations. Austin and Rachel are excited to begin their life together as a married couple, and are fortunate to have many friends and family to celebrate with.
